Folk Hearts, Berry Shades

Happy New Year!!! It’s been a relaxing one for us this year. I’ve been preparing for 2024 by doodling some folk art hearts under a nice cozy blanket.

I took inspiration from all sorts of folk art designs, with the aim to fill the page with a bunch of heart motifs in different styles. I stuck with just two shades of deep berry, and I found that they provided enough visual interest as long as I mixed them up.

After a little polishing in Photoshop, I think that they might make a really good new sticker sheet design. I’m really looking forward to trying some stickers out, since my test cut have gone really nicely so far! Look for more updates on this design in the weeks to come!
