Tweak and Proof

teeny tiny versions of my illustration series, still being adjusted, with some notes

I’m going to keep today’s post short, because I really, really want to show some of the other things that I’m working on later in the week. I am in the process of adjusting colors, light, and all the little fiddly bits until each of my images is exactly where I want them. Also so that it prints exactly the way that I want it, which is a different thing entirely.

Later this week I want to share some of the things that I did this weekend, not related to my artwork, but just for fun. I really blew off steam by diving into some craft projects that I’ve had on hold. I sewed up the binding on a text block that I’ve been working on for the book binding tutorial I’ve been referencing since starting this blog. There were tons of minis as well, and I had a full afternoon creating a color palette of wood stains on the back porch.

In the meantime, I am going back to grind away at these illustrations. The line between self criticism and insane perfectionism is thin, and walking it can feel a little crazy-making. I end up with a lot of pent up energy. My plan is to use it this week to show some new and interesting stuff. Stay tuned!
