I promised a post this weekend with figures, and I’m late! These sketches are just an assortment from the sketchbook over the couple of weeks which feature figures. They also all have watercolor washes. I’ve been transitioning my workspace again, and meanwhile, I’ve had my watercolor palette out on the desk with leftover paint from my last project.
These, like the gouache bear from my last post, were more or less still about experimenting with this particular paper to see how different mediums work on it. In this case, watercolors! It’s about time, since this is officially watercolor paper after all, and really nice watercolor paper, at that.
These drawings don’t require much complicated explanation. They’re just gestural figure drawings of ladies- other than that the lady on the left is meant to represent Merit. That’s all for now. Up next: castles and creeping things!
