The Toy Maker

Last week, I doodled a man in a large hat, decided that he looked like he was painting something intricate, and this is what it became. I really, really enjoyed drawing this, because it quickly became an excuse to populate the entire background with all of the toys I could think of. By the time I was done, I had all sorts of ideas for other characters that could all be vendors at the cute little street fair. I don’t think I’m going to be able to rest until I do another one. There’s this crazy notion I have that they would become a really fun coloring book – I think that this is quickly going to become a project.
