It’s a color palette day! This gouache sketch is monochromatic, focusing on the blue-green color family. The cool weather this week had me thinking in cool tones. I was inspired by the colors in glass bottles and bits of sea glass.

In this painting, the moss greens are the warmest colors, and the only ones that aren’t strictly blue-green. Tons of color palettes that I love don’t contain a bunch of colors that I’m really drawn to individually. This one, however, is a mix of some of my favorites! Snow is piled up outside, so these calming colors seem super vibrant at the moment.
