I continue a bunny-themed spring. I didn’t plan on painting more rabbits, but this morning’s sketchbook warm-up had me painting them again almost without thinking!
I didn’t do a pencil sketch for this painting. However, I think that’s why I like this little watercolor so much. Sometimes I get really fussy with watercolors, even though I sometimes like the abstract ones best. Today’s post is the result of about two hours, after which I has to switch gears to something else. I might re-visit this page in the future, though, because adding the little details seem like it would be too dang fun.
In addition to painted bunnies, I have also made a bunch of stuffed bunnies this season! I used to love making stuffed toys, but after years of a broken sewing machine and distraction with other projects, they fell to the back-burner. I’m sharing in honor of the long-neglected “string” of my Ink Paper String! The dapper little guy shown above was made with the Minky and Friends mini-bunny pattern, available on Etsy.
It’s finally, really spring!!! I’m so excited.
