I’ve been having a ton of fun in the sketchbook I’ve dedicated to little, limited color gouache sketches! One of these small palette sketches is perfect for a morning warm-up, especially if I paint in a single-color wash the day before.
Today, I had a bunch of brick red paint that I wanted to use, so I decided to create a color scheme around that. It was a good excuse to keep everything pretty neutral, with just the bright salmon pink qualifying as the only really saturated color. The clay and slate colors are some of my favorite neutral colors, they’re really rich-looking with brighter colors.
