This one is just a doodle from the sketchbook. It started out a blind contour drawing in pencil, and I pushed the original scribbles along it until it was this little witch. It’s done in a mix of inks – starting with a blue felt tip pen (I use Stabilo point 88 fineliners), mixed alcohol based markers. The bright light green on the very top is a Sakura Souffle gel pen, and to be honest, this is my favorite effect I’ve been able to get with it. I’d like to re-do this someday with better intention (ie: not starting from a single random line) so that the shapes and anatomy are less weird.
When I drew her, I imagined that she was out looking for someone’s lost dog.
