Yesterday, I spent some time polishing up a recent doodle from my sketchbook. It was a little bit of drawing work, but mostly practice arranging my files in Photoshop. The before and after is pretty significant, since I’m being really loose and imprecise in my sketchbook lately. Here’s the marker drawing that I started with:
It always takes more time to polish up something like this than I think it’s going to. I always seem to want to estimate an hour, when in fact it takes me about four! Most of the work was “cutting out” and re-arranging everything, but the most fun was “inking” the details on top in orange. Since this took me so much longer to put together than I’d thought, today’s post is going to be super brief. Meanwhile, I’m go back to enjoying fussing around in Adobe inDesign, making notebook and journal layouts. I’ll be back later this week with a spooky drawing from an old sketchbook!
