My two sketchbook pieces for today don’t have much in common other than a general cuteness. On the left, my little guy in blues and greens just felt like the right sort of thing to use up some cool colors I had left on my watercolor palette. On the right-hand page I drew a really quick and pretty wonky drawing of my favorite mug. The cup itself is bothersome, but my favorite part anyway is the little Dala horse border around the lip. I made it extra yuletide-esque with the background color.
Meanwhile, I’m doing a lot of production tests in the background. I’m polishing and print-testing tons of old pieces, and a few new ones, and things are clipping along so well now that I have my work station back that I’ll have exciting updates really soon. Until then, I’ll be back next week with contrasting summer and winter landscapes!
