I had another fun day today with a drawing prompt from over at Doodle Addicts, this time to sketch a “hippie van”. It’s really hot where I live, but camping still sounds really fun right now. I couldn’t help using the prompt as an excuse to draw a van converted into a camper, with some imaginary campers having fun.
I actually own a set of owl-shaped patio lights like the ones I drew. I have a tremendous fondness for festively shaped patio lights, owl-shaped ones especially, and I got a set from an aunt for Christmas once. It was probably my favorite present that year, and I still adore them, so I had to include them in the drawing!
Meanwhile, I’m also working on turning my recent botanical illustrations into stickers and cards. Before the week is over, I also hope to start laying the groundwork using Adobe inDesign to come up with page layouts for different sorts of lined paper. I have paper samples coming, and soon I’m going to be able to start prototyping notebooks. More on that soon!
