Autumn arrived just as we’ve been moving, sweeping me up like an old leaf and blowing me somewhere new. I’ve been lost in a daze of packing, and now unpacking in our new house. Despite the stress, I’ve been feeling as though I’ve been on a kind of honeymoon. We’re finally here!
I unpacked the studio last week, and got my computer work station back up this weekend so that I could finally post. My intention was to do something like a “what I did on my summer vacation” in September, but I was in between spaces for longer than I had wanted. So I’m back… with a Halloween cat!
This Halloween cat illustration in the sketchbook was pretty quick and dirty, but turned out pretty nice for quick one-hour exercise. I’m at least thinking about doing a more polished version for a Halloween greeting card. It feels great to get seasonal in my new workspace, even if I’m still technically settling in!
